I have a question that I have never seen addressed before, I am currently reading Samadi meditation book, by Peter Marchand which are excellent. I have also used light/sound machines which put one in an altered state aka Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta brainwave states. quickly and easily. I have often wondered if they are a shortcut for getting into a deep meditative state as they do seem to work very well. Considering ancient people never had access to this type of technology and a lot of people are not aware of it, I am curious what meditators think about this.

Words cannot describe Reality, Absolute, Self, Brahman, Tao, etc. stop listening and just be.
